Replenish Renewel Refresh

Replenish Renewel Refresh

Bring the inside out and the outside in – it is time for spring – replenish, renewal and refresh. New fabric from JAB and Salvador, Katie Stratton’s wallpaper, and the velvet cushions from Mulberi Home are a few ways to connect our interiors to the outside with a visual flow.

Elegant Sensuality – Balance and Spirituality

Elegant Sensuality – Balance and Spirituality

The deep fuchsia under the lily pads, the violet lotus flowers, and the blush pinks were creating magic amongst the greens in The Winter Gardens at the Domain in Auckland last month.  While the velvet cushions evoke an elegant sensuality, the green and purple of the Zebra plant bring balance and spirituality to any space.  In perfect synchronicity the Philodendron has just flowered, and is looking divine.  Don’t be afraid of adding these colours to your settings, as they bring a sense of heavenly playfulness.

Embracing The Blues

Embracing The Blues

Blue is such an uplifting colour.  It goes with just about everything.  Inspiration is everywhere –  from the fabulous winter blue sky days; Timothy Oulton’s Noble Souls indigo dyed linen; this gorgeous Pierre Frey fabric; glossy textured subway tiles from The Tile People, to the layers of blue inks in my latest painting ‘When All You Can Hear Is What You Can See’.

After many layers of shellac inks and acrylics the depth is magic.  ‘When All You Hear Is What You See‘ is ready for sale. 1200x1200mm on Ply Box Board.  SOLD

Opening of The Pacific Gardens Display Suite

Opening of The Pacific Gardens Display Suite

The opening of the display suite for Pacific Gardens in Manukau was on Wednesday. What a success – well done Changda team.  Proud to see Sienna Design’s Interior Design and Exterior Colour Schemes.  I will keep you updated as Stage 1 progresses.

Treat Yourself

Treat Yourself

Some days it is a treat to discover new pieces – some of them mixed with more established favourites, and some holding their own because they are just so darn sexy.  Imagine sinking into one of these Timothy Oulton sofas from Dawson & Co, under the rock crystal Elysium Ball Pendant.

Which Tiles To Choose

Which Tiles To Choose

The new season’s tiles are looking great, particularly some of the splashback options.  Here’s a taste from a couple of my favourite tile suppliers.
